PRAN not found in Database
After creating new eNPS account on the official site,
we need to reset password using PRAN number which will be received in
an email also after completing registration. If anyone try to reset the
password within 24 hours of registration, user will get an error saying PRAN not found in Database, so try after 24 hours to reset the password successfully. If it's still not resolved contact to NDSL with this number (022) 2499 3499, they will help for sure. Please comment for any other query.

ReplyDeleteJust minor correction as if error doesn't resolved in 24 hours then do not panic just wait for some time as its take 36 hours in my case, the process is as per below :
1. First, Received email with subject line "Successful registration under National Pension System" from eNPS-alerts@nsdl.co.in.
2. Second, Now to reset your IPIN, just wait and keep patience for second email with subject line "eNPS: procedure to set IPIN and TPIN" from communications.cra@nsdl.co.in. Once received this email applicant can reset their IPIN online[https://www.cra-nsdl.com/CRA/] or from Mobile application successfully[approx. time to received this email 24+ hours because they have some backend process to complete with your bank before active and keep your PRAN operational]

Try to login after 1 or 2 days, you will be able to login by resetting password. Also, didn't get the date you have mentioned, you have mentioned 3/1/21 as the account creation date. Is this correct?

I am worried how to make tax planning related subsequent contribution as it would be T + 2, even D- Remit is also uncertain due to insufficient time for the related setup.

DeleteI think you wouldn't be able to do that. Only after account opening, you can deposit your next installment and it takes around 2 days to open the account.

ReplyDeleteYou need to apply for e-nps account first. During registration you can choose for pran kit either physical kit or paperless kit which will be received on email, which contains the PRAN number.

ReplyDeleteI opened account today, and could not verify as for e-verification it requires OTP from email and SMS. I received email OTP but didn't receive OTP from SMS. Waited for sometime and then the page crashed.
I have already paid amount (first payment) and PRAN is generated. I am now not able to login, its showing "PRAN not found in database". I am worried that my account generation is completed or they cancelled. Please help.
Try logging by resetting the password after ~2 days i.e. 5th May 2021.

any idea why i am not getting any email from NSDL ,not sure if they send any details over email ,I was facing issue while confirming OTP on email and that didnt work so i took Esign process ... email is accurate because i used autofill and that is 100% correct also checked in SPAM folder .

Lodge the FIR and get your mobile number back then using OTP you can reset your password without IPIN.

ReplyDeleteYou can save tax for sure after investing in NPS, you need to invest minimum 50k in NPS(under 80ccd section) in addition to 1.5 lac in section 80C (total deduction = 2 lac). This is applicable only for tier 1. I don't think tier 2 account provide any tax saving benefits.
